Season review: what we're taking away from Mayenne, Agen, and Southtown Throwdown

One season, three competitions, one community that hasn't lost any of its energy. A look back at Mayenne Throwdown, Agen Showdown, and Southtown Classic — three events where the WOD.LOL team was on the ground, amidst the athletes, motivational cheers, and sweat-drenched t-shirts.

Mayenne Throwdown: The Kick-off

First stop of the season, and already an electric atmosphere. Local athletes, boxes from all over the region, and a format that everyone agreed on: demanding, but always in good spirits. Full recap of this stage: We participated in the Mayenne Throwdown.

Agen Showdown: The Rise in Intensity

Second stage, and the level climbs a notch. More athletes, more spectators, and WODs designed to leave no one indifferent. This is also where we saw more and more crop tops and boxy tanks on the field — the attire adapts as the season progresses. The full recap: We're hitting the Agen Showdown.

Southtown Classic: The Season Finale Fireworks

Last stage and undoubtedly the most intense of the three. A final atmosphere, athletes pushed to their limits, and a community that showed up until the last clock. All the recap here: We lit up the Southtown Classic.

What we're taking away from this season

  • The community is growing: more boxes represented at each stage, and more new faces too.
  • The level is rising: times are tightening, preparation is becoming more professional, even among amateurs.
  • The atmosphere remains the true driving force: regardless of the ranking, it's the collective energy that brings everyone back from one stage to the next.

What's next?

Next season is already looking busy, with a Hyrox and CrossFit calendar that shows no signs of slowing down.
